Description

Fallbrook Union Elementary School District is a K-8 district. We share the yard with the high school bus service. We transport 2,500 home to school, mid-day, and therapy runs. The fleet consists of over 30 buses, 2 cars and 3 van routes. We encompass the town of Fallbrook and two schools on the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base. 

 

The successful candidate must be able to accomplish the following responsibilities in a friendly, efficient and professional manner:

  • Drives a school bus or transportation vehicle over an assigned route in accordance with a time schedule. 
  • Boards and discharges student passengers.
  • Transports students, staff and chaperones on field trips, athletic activities and other special trips. 
  • Enforces District Policies and procedures related to transportation and maintains discipline on buses. 
  • Maintain buses in a clean and safe condition.
  • Follow a schedule in the performance of custodial duties required to maintain assigned rooms, equipment, building and adjacent areas in a  clean, orderly and secure manner, 
  • Perform routine building maintenance tasks during periods of student recess
  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned.

DETAILS FOR THIS POSITION:

  • LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: 12 Month Employee Work Year Calendar
  • WORK SITE: SOS/Transportation 
  • WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week
  • BENEFITS: Benefit package includes Health and Welfare, paid sick leave, vacation, and holidays (currently observing 16 paid holidays a year).
  • REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade; a work history demonstrating dependability and reliability; good driving record; some previous custodial or janitorial work is desirable; or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities; and the ability to qualify for District vehicle insurance.
  • REQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATE:  Possession of a valid California Driver's License, Class B; California School Bus Driver's Certificate, current Medical Certificate (MEC), DMV Printout (Current H-6)
  • REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS (PDF):
